Outside AQ (7).jpg

The Aquatarium is a registered charity dedicated to inspiring curiosity through enriching and entertaining experiences in the Thousand Islands region of the St. Lawrence River. Since opening in 2016, our 27,000 square foot interactive science facility and tourism attraction has welcomed more than 60,000 visitors annually, with over 80 percent arriving from outside the city. The Aquatarium contributes about 11 million dollars each year to the local economy through visitor spending and related activity.

Our imaginative exhibits, live animals, simulators, and hands on programs connect guests with the cultural, historical, and ecological significance of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River Watershed. We deliver curriculum linked learning for multiple grades, support educators, and provide camps and experiences that build lifelong STEAM engagement.
